Lebanon Valley Mosque - Lebanon, PA - Mosques on Waymarking.com

Unsure of what a mosque would look like, I drove up and down Florence Street which is in a residential neighborhood in Lebanon, PA, several times before determining that the unassuming white building was what I was looking for. The Muslim believers follow the teachings of Muhammad. Most of the Muslim population can be found in northern Africa and southwestern Asian countries but more Muslims are traveling to the United States and establishing communities and there are also many people converting to this growing religion.

Realizing the need for public awareness as the Muslim population grows in Lebanon County, the mosque has regularly reached out to the local school district and invited them to visit the mosque for a workshop teaching the Muslim practice. And, as an added attraction, the teachers enjoyed a Moroccan meal prepared by the mosque members. An interesting article about the teachers' in-service day can be found at (visit link) .
