Manetín is often called the "Baroque pearl of West Bohemia". The Baroque Manetín chateau, the former residence of the Lažanský family is the heart of this town. Manetín was first mentioned in written records in 1169 when King Vladislav II. There are also two churches . The one is dedicated to St. John the Baptist (
visit link) , the other one (The Church of St. Barbora (
visit link) ) is located at easter side of the town. These two churches connect the way. It is called in Czech "Vysoká cesta".
The several Baroque sculptures of saints are located along this "Vysoká cesta". The sculptures were created by artists from the mid 18th century - Štepán Borovec and his pupil Joseph Herscher (
visit link) .

Na podstavci stojící socha svetice, odená do splývavého rasnatého šatu s veneckem ruží na hlave a vlasy, spadajícími na ramena. V pravé ruce, priložené na prsa, drží kovový kríž, v levé ruce pri boku drží lebku, na kterou se dívá. Pravá noha je v mírném kontrapostu. Svetice má pres levé rameno prehozen plášt s velkým záhybem u levého boku. Od pasu k nohám spadá výrazné rasení šatu.
