Located off of Wildlife Drive is Indigo Trail. Approximately 0.2 mile from the drive is the Wildlife Education Boardwalk. This boardwalk crosses through a freshwater habitat that hosts a plethora of birds and other wildlife. At the end of the boardwalk is a two story observation tower for birdwatching. The first level has shaded seating for a large group and the second level accessed by a stairway has a bench. Ample room for tripod and birding scopes is available on both levels.
This birdwatching location can be accessed without paying the $5.00 fee for the Wildlife Drive. There is a fee of $1.00 to use the trail and the observation tower. It is somewhat handicap accessible utilizing a compacted crushed shell path and a boardwalk.
