On October 24, 2015, OSU fans were celebrating Homecoming at the parade when a car plowed thru a barricade at a high speed, killing 4 people and injuring 50. The First Responders and others nearby came together to fully sport everyone hurt in this horrific accident.

The Stillwater Strong Memorial is located on the north side of Hall of Fame Ave, one block west of Main St. The blue and orange ribbon stands about 5 feet tall on top of a 3 foot high base. Two benches sit in front of the sculpture, and another plaque is on a base behind the benches. An approximately 20' wide concrete circle is the base for the memorial and benches.

Stillwater Strong

On October 24, 2015 at 10:30 A.M., at the intersection of Hall of Fame Ave. and Main St., "America's Greatest Homecoming Celebration" and the city of Stillwater suffered a tragedy resulting in the loss of four precious lives and injuries to over 50 others.

Lives were forever altered when a car crashed through a barricade and into OSU Alumni Homecoming Parade spectators. Yet in one of our darkest hours, our community came together as never before, showing that no matter how dire the circumstance, we are, and will always be STILLWATER STRONG!

This memorial honors every victim, survivor, volunteer, first responder, and those medical personnel impacted by the OSU Homecoming parade tragedy.

Dedicated October 26, 2018
