It is no wonder that the fire danger is low here. After all, the area has just survived Hurricane Florence as well as Hurricane Michael! The area is actually quite flooded around Jordan Lake with the water being at least 300 feet in land from the shore.
But this Smokey Bear reminds us that "only you can prevent forest fires".
