Smokey is positioned to be seen by boaters launching from the Roosevelt Marina and by those going to the visitor's center. The lake has receded due to extended drought conditions but the visitor's center is busy as it is the source for access passes for all the marinas and camping areas around the lake.Sadly, the fire danger arrow will probably remain at high or above for the foreseeable future. This Smokey is made of painted metal to resist the sun.
