The Tonto basin is located south of the Tonto Rim which is the southern edge of the Rockies, and the upper Sonoran desert. It is home to a number of ranches, small communities and Roosevelt Lake. This cemetery serves the residents of the area. There are approximately 247 graves although a pioneer cemetery list shows 204. The graves have markers ranging from marble to rusted metal to small place holders.
