Frank W. Simpson was a Private in the United States Army during The Great War, and his headstone in historic Fairview Cemetery notes that he "Died in Fracne". Not in "France".

Mr. Simpson's white marble headstone has the family name on the plinth, and there is a photo medallion at the top -- missing the photo -- that is complemented by flourishes. His name stands out in relief, followed by an inscription:

Private 110th Ammunition Train 91st Div
Born May 5, 1896,
Died in Fracne
Nov. 24, 1918.
