French and English soldiers fight shoulder to shoulder. 500 dead to halt the advance of the German army to Dunkirk and allow the evacuation to Dover of the English and French units that were there.

The English soldiers will pay a heavy price. Among them is the Queen Victoria Rifle Regiment better known as the "green jacket", the green tunics.

Monument inaugurated on June 2, 1951 in the presence of the Duke of Gloucester (brother of the King of England).

Soldats français et anglais se battent au coude à coude. 500 morts pour freiner l'avance de l'armée allemande vers Dunkerque et permettre ainsi l'évacuation vers Douvres des Unités anglaises et françaises qui s'y trouvaient.

Les soldats anglais paieront un lourd tribut. Parmi eux le régiment des fusiliers de la Reine Victoria plus connu sous le nom des "green jacket", les tuniques vertes.

Monument inauguré le 2 juin 1951 en présence du duc de Gloucester (frère du roi d'Angleterre).
