[GER] Portugaleser ist die Bezeichnung für die vor allem in Norddeutschland und im Ostseeraum verbreitete Nachahmung der portugiesischen Goldmünze Portuguez. Die meisten dieser Münzen wurde von 1553 an in der Hamburger Münzstätte geprägt.

An der Fassade befindet sich die Vorderseite des Portugalesers mit dem Hamburg-Wappen. Dies ist das zweite runde Gemilde von links an der Fassade die Richtung Alster zeigt.
