I've patronized Squirrel's Tavern many times when I was a college student at nearby Oregon State Univertand never really noticed the Native American mosaic at the entrance until visiting many years later with a different set eyes that appreciate the aesthetics of downtown Corvallis.
This mosaic follows the design principles that are required in Native American art. The artist is unknown and the mosaic is of an illustration of a squirrel in the center surrounded by heads.
