Almost missed this one - one of the smallest murals we've found in our travels.

On the north end of the Land Run Farmers Cooperative building is a small mural showing a symmetrical set of two wheat stalks, with six heads. The stalks are curved and frame a circle reading "WELCOME / COOP / WAUKOMIS"

Wheat was and still is a mainstay for the town of Waukomis. This little mural was painted by Bob Palmer and his mural painting students. We can just see them finishing up on the beautiful mural on the west wall of this building, and as an afterthought painting this wheat as a tribute to the town and its agricultural roots.
