Lower Westheimer is the Bohemian opposite to the upscale Galleria. It’s both pedestrian friendly and outdoors. The shops are small, (mostly) independently owned, and definitely different.

Shops are strung along both sides of Westheimer, from Montrose Boulevard to Shepherd, starting with tattoo shops, retro stores, tarrot readers, condom stores, vintage stores, and then morphing into an antiques district. The sidewalk scene is pretty interesting: full of goths, punks, street kids and kids coming up from Sugar Land pretending to be street kids.
