The school building on Königstrasse 31 was built in 1852-53 and was initially Royal Gymnasium and Realgymnasium, later also tax office, vocational school and Catholic elementary school and seat of the community college. Since 1985, the building is named "Wilhelmine Siefkes School" in recognition of its special merits.
Currently, the district media center is housed in the building.
