White milestone on the B9131 road a mile and a half north of the Fife coastal town of Anstruther.

This milestone is situated on the east side of the B9131 Anstruther to St Andrews road at Pitkierie, north of Anstruther.
Like others in Fife it is of whitewashed whinstone with a benchmark and cast-iron cap depicting the placenames and mileage. It has been restored after being toppled in the past.
The names are in cursive abbreviated script, with to the south, Anstruther, Kilrenny and Pittenweem, and to the north, St Andrews, Leuchars and Newport.
The stone is around two and a half foot tall and sits on the grassy verge of an unfenced part of the road.
