L’Association Culturelle Turque de Nantes, créée en octobre 1983 par une dizaine de familles issues de l’immigration Turque, a été à l'initiative de la construction de la mosquée au début des années 2000.
Le projet de construction n’a réellement débuté qu’en mai 2005 pour finir en 2011.

The Turkish Cultural Association of Nantes, created in October 1983 by a dozen families from Turkish immigration, was at the initiative of the construction of the mosque in the early 2000s.
The construction project did not really start until May 2005 and finish in 2011.
