A nuclear fallout shelter is located in the basement of this large apartment building. The building is located on the southwest corner of New York Avenue and St. Marks Avenue.

The fallout shelter sign is found on the southeast corner of the building along New York Avenue. Unfortunately, the capacity of the shelter is no longer visible or was not originally identified.

According to a news report from December 2017, the City has been removing shelter signs from many buildings. This is the first concerted effort to acknowledge that some signed buildings are no longer available as shelters. (visit link)
