The panels are a timeline of Texas history.

Panel 1 shows an Indian woman holding her baby, next are three standing Indians and two standing frontiersmen. Between the two is a kneeling Indian holding a blanket - suggesting that they are trading goods. Behind the figures on the left are two teepees and a Spanish mission.

Panel 2 shows Indians going about their daily lives with a mounted Indian hunting buffalo with a bow. A kneeling woman is doing beadwork. A horse with travois poles is waiting patiently nearby.

Panel 3 shows settlers arriving in a covered wagon pulled by oxen. A man, woman and child are on the right. There are frontiersmen on the left.

Panel 4 shows an Indian and a frontierman seated in the middle. On the left two men are approaching. One with a sack over his shoulder the other leading a mule. On the right are two men standing.

Panel 5 shows settlers in front of a locomotive. A black man is on the left next to two other men. Next is a boy pulling on a man's hand trying to get closer to the engine perhaps. On the right is a man and woman perhaps waiting to board the train.

Panel 6 shows a cowboy wrestling a steer to the ground in the middle. Other cowboys on horses and one sitting on a fence look on.
