Lewis & Grundy Clock on Victoria Street has been moved several times and was made by the Nottingham clockmaker Copes (visit link) .
Lewis & Grundy were prominent city hardware merchants but are no longer operating from this shop which is now The Pit & Pendulum bar.

The small automaton blacksmiths used to move their hammers to strike the Anvil on the hour. Unfortunately the clock stopped working in 1972, but it was restored in the mid 1980s (although the men do not move very often, to preserve their working parts).
