This memorial on the Washington Street side of the common is to all dedicated and patriotic Norwood residents who served in any war.

In Norwood, on the town common, is a war memorial dedicated to Norwood residents who served at war time.
The memorial is located on the northwest side of the common, off the sidewalk along Washington Street. It is about halfway between the ends.
The memorial is set at the end of a short walkway surrounded by bushes, roughly three feet high. The base is concrete, from which is placed a dark granite stone, polished, with two sword decorations embedded in it, and a light stone slid in the top, with text on it. The text is as follows:
"Dedicated to the heroic valor and patriotic spirit of the men and women of the town of Norwood who served in the armed forces of the United States of America in all Wars"
The memorial is in good shape.
