Long Description:
['Ages ago' I stopped and photographed another 'Themed Homemade Mailbox', not quite directly opposite, and I am still looking for those photos. When I saw it again in my travels I thought that I should at least get the accurate coordinates of it.]

Subsequently, I pulled up into the driveway where this yellow version of 'Ossie Ostrich', of fame, from Daryl Somers "Hey, Hey, It's Saturday" TV show in the 1980's, look-a-like Letterbox is placed. I didn't realise, but Ossie had a start in 1971, but when Daryl got Ossie on his show it became well known in Australia. It was last seen on TV in 2010. (visit link)

It looks like this Letterbox is made from: the Body, being a truck fuel tank, Legs being bent reinforcing steel rods, Neck is a curved rod, Head is a steel ball with a couple metal spatulas for the beak, and the Tail a suspension bracket with a spring.
