"Face à la mairie, à l'entrée de la rue piétonne Brauhauban , le peintre Jean Reale a réalisé un remarquable "trompe l'œil" sur toute la façade. La 3D de l'œuvre est particulièrement bien réussie. Les couleurs choisies se mèlent bien aux façades alentours. Il s'agit d'une scène poétique avec comme personnages, un jeune joueur de violon , une danseuse sur un cheval blanc, deux ramoneurs et deux dames au balcon. C'est la rue de la gaiété.
Le peintre a également réalisé un autre trompe l'œil a deux pas de celui ci dans la salle des fêtes de la mairie."
