This Lucky 7 is anchored by the Cadet Theater, which was named for the cadet students in the Oklahoma Military Academy (now Rogers State University).

Many things in this town relate to their favorite son, Will Rogers. Included in this Lucky 7 are a Sit-By-Me sculpture of Will Rogers, and a bronze memorial at the newspaper office, honoring him. Both refer to his famous quote, "All I know is what I read in the papers".

There are many dated buildings in town, and ghost signs from the past, and we found a Fall Out Shelter sign on the old Federal Building, as a reminder of the Cold War days and our fear of attack.
