Simple, yet elegant memorial to those who lost their lives while in the performance of their duties.

The memorial features three stones in front of three flagpoles. The left stone features a poem by Kahlil Gibran

When you are sorrowful look
again in your heart, and you
shall see that in truth you
are weeping for that which
has been your delight.

The central stone features the crests of the New Jersey Transportation Authority, the Atlantic City Expressway and the Atlantic City International Airport.

The righthand stone bears the names of those who died, and when:

Trooper Marienus J. Segeren, 1971
Charles A. Young, 1978
Warren W. Wilson, 1979
Louis Pitale III, 1987
