The waymarked Pony Express Monument is the 1920s concrete monument with the James Earle Fraser medallion and the inset horseshoes at what is now the Register Cliff State Historic Site, but which was, when the WPA writers visited, part of the private Guernsey Ranch.
A small bronze plaque on the monument reads "Pony Express Station 1860-1861."
From the WPA Guide to the State of Wyoming:
"[page 295]
GUERNSEY
