S’appuyant sur son histoire, il permet de comprendre comment les discriminations, les racismes, l’antisémitisme et les extrémismes peuvent mener au pire. Et pour la première fois sur un lieu de mémoire, sont apportés des repères pluridisciplinaires et des clés de compréhension scientifiques qui peuvent aider à agir au présent contre ces intolérances. Un lieu citoyen, résolument tourné vers l’enseignement de la fraternité, le vivre ensemble et le respect de l’autre.

CAMP SITE-MEMORIAL: A UNIQUE MUSEUM IN THE WORLD TO UNDERSTAND HISTORY AND ACT AGAINST INTOLERANCES The only French camp of internment and deportation still intact and accessible to the public, the Camp des Milles is today a museum of History and Sciences of Man innovative and unique in France. Drawing on its history, it helps to understand how discrimination, racism, anti-Semitism and extremism can lead to the worst. And for the first time on a memory site, there are pluridisciplinary landmarks and scientific understanding keys that can help to act in the present against these intolerances. A civic place, resolutely turned towards the teaching of fraternity, live it together and respect the other.
