FR Au dos de la haute fontaine Saint Louis, au tout début des Arts et métiers, on peut voir ce blason assez difficile à recréer tans il est complexe, surtout sans utiliser de couleurs.
A l'emplacement de la porte St-Louis, détruite depuis des sicèles, ce buste de Louis IX (1214-1270) présente les 2 faces de bouclier et le lion symbolisant la victoire romaine sur les salyens. Sur la 3e face un écu des croisés, sur 4° face les armes ville.
Jusqu'à 1783 elle était au milieu d’un jardin exotique
