The aircraft propeller is mounted on a low-angle pyramid, next to the Belmont Post Office.

This three-bladed propeller is fixed on a steel mount, atop the low pyramid that stands on two circular steps. There are Memorial plaques on the four side of the 'pyramid' for locals involved in various military conflicts/ wars.

No mention of what the propeller is from, but there had been a Catalina base on the other side of Lake Macquarie.
