Nejúspešnejší lyžarskou disciplinou od konce 60. let je skok na lyžích predevším zásluhou olympijského víteze a mistra sveta Jirího Rašky. Jeho úspechy daly impuls k projektu strediska skokanských mustku s umelou hmotou na svazích Horecek.
Po jeho triumfu na X. ZOH v Grenoblu roku 1968, kde pro CR vybojoval první zlatou medaili, byl v rekordním case 40 dnu vybudován mustek s kritickým bodem K=42. V tomtéž roce zahájena stavba mustku s parametry P=72 a K=90. Všechny dle projektu Josefa Zity. V letech 1969 až 1973 byl vybudován areál mustku v dnešní podobe vcetne parkovište a vecerního osvetlení. Mustek K=90 byl jako první na svete této velikosti pokryt umelou hmotou.
Každorocne je zde porádáno nekolik závodu za úcasti svetové špicky
Frenštátští lyžari využívají skokanský areál predevším k výchove mladých skokanu. V 90. letech bylo pri TJ Frenštát vytvoreno Tréninkové centrum.
V soucasnosti jsou v skokanském areálu na Horeckách v provozu ctyri skokanské mustky K95,K45,K20,K9, které všechny prošly rekonstrukcí, vcetne modernizace profilu a položení nové finské hmoty.

Ski-jumping has been the most successful skiing discipline since the late sixties. Frenštát can pride itself with the Olympic winner and world champion Jirí Raška. His achievements gave impulse to creating a ski-jumping centre with an artificial surface on the slopes of the Horecky Hills.
It took just 40 days after Raška´s triumph at the X Olympic Games in Grenoble (1968) to build the ski-jump with break point K=42. In the same year the construction of two more jumps (P=72 and K=90) started. All the three jumps were designed by Josef Zita. By 1973 the whole complex including a car park and evening lighting was completed. The K=90 ski-jump was the first one of this size in the world covered with an artificial surface.
Every year there are several competitions with the world’s top jumpers taking part there.
Frenštát skiers make good use of the ski-jumping complex especially for training young jumpers. In the 1990´s the Frenštát sports association, TJ, set up the Training Centre
