The Stage Coach Inn at Salado has been serving travelers to and through this lovely Central Texas town since 1852.

In 1986, the Sesquicentennial of Texas Independence, the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century placed a historical plaque at the Stage Coach Inn that reads as follows:
