The Plague reads:
Scots Church Formerly Chalmers Church, this Neo-Gothic building was erected by its parishioners who were members of the Free Church of Scotland (Presbyterian) in 1851. The architects and builders were Thomas English and Henry Brown. The erection of the spire in 1856 by english and Brown completed the original intentof the design. It is the second oldest church in Adelaide.
