Ancien élève d’Isabey, il fut un auteur de natures mortes – principalement des crustacés – et de scènes de cuisine ; exposant à Paris dans le dernier quart du XIXe siècle. Il repose au cimetière de Villedieu-sur-Indre, d’où son épouse était originaire."
