This former school is located in Backus Heritage Village near Port Rowan, Ontario. The school was built circa 1866 and is a brick octagon structure. A plaque on the building has the following text:
"S.S. No. 6 Townsend Cherry Valley School c. 1866
Donated by Larry & Patti Korczak lot 5 concession 9 former Township of Townsend with financial assistance from the Parks Sector, Canada/Ontario Job Creation Program.
Dedicated this 22nd Day of June, 1983."
