You will see this signpost immediately after you left the harbor and before reaching the city. It mentions: all vehicles prohibited, bicycle free, (picture of) horse-drawn carriage at step permitted.

It is not allowed to use motor cars on the island Juist (visit link) (except for fire brigade, rescue service, emergency medical physician).
Therefore, all traffic is done by horse-drawn carriages. They have no speed indicator, thus you can not set the speed limit to a specific number (5 or 10 kilometers).
Considering this, the creative island administration "invented" this specific sign for horse-drawn carriages.

I did not see such a sign for horse-drawn carriages before (or afterwards) - it is very unusual. And the visitors, coming on their vacation to this island, love this sign post (in German only): (visit link)
Type of sign or poster: Roadside

Name the misspelled word: a sign especially for horse-drawn carriages is very unusual

Visit Instructions:

You decide what you want to show in a photo of the sign.

A "Visited" only remark will be deleted.
