During the Second World War, Dennison was a very popular spot with our troops. Trains stopped in Dennison carrying troops to help with the war effort over seas. This was often the only stop where the troops could de-train and get a fresh cup of coffee and a warm sandwich. The troops started referring to Dennison as Dreamsville U.S.A.
