Die Skulptur "Der Wächter" wurde 1993 von Erwin Noll (visit link) aus Stahl (oxidiert und vergoldet) erschaffen. Sie ist über 4 Meter hoch.

Vorher stand die Skulptur vor der Rhein-Main-Halle in Wiesbaden. Das Gebäude wurde abgerissen und so musste die Kunst weichen.

Der 1948 in Bad Homburg geborene Künstler (der nun in Niederbayern lebt) schenkte sodann sein Werk der Stadt Bad Homburg (in 2014). (visit link) (visit link)

The sculpture "Der Wächter" (= The guardian) is made from steel, about 2 tons heavy and more than 4 meter high.

Formerly the sculpture was placed in the city of Wiesbaden.

The artist, born 1948 in Bad Homburg, gave the sculpture as a present to the city of Bad Homburg in 2014. It was placed at the beginning of the sculpture alley in 2017 (at the place, where formerly the statue "Red Boy" was placed). Inauguration was on 20 June 2017.

The sculpture "The Guardian" is placed near the train station, at the entrance of the city of Bad Homburg and shall guard the city.
