This Carnegie library building is a one-story brick building with an exposed basement level. It was built in 1916 in the Colonial revival style, with a Carnegie grant of $10,000 in December 1915. The windows are set in groups of one and two, and are currently metal-framed with one-over-one panes. The sills are cast stone, and there is a cast stone belt course around the building beneath the basement windows. The basement windows have a soldier brick lintel. The upper wall has a row of standing brick ends above the upper windows and a cornice beneath a parapet wall at the roof line.
The main entrance faces east and has 8 steps flanked by brick side walls, leading to the entrance which is a single glass door with sidelights and a fixed transom. The entrance bay is slightly projected with a cast stone surround. Above the door is a frieze reading LIBRARY.
It appears that the building is currently occupied by the City of Woodward and a door on the south has a sign reading "maintenance offices".
