The table mountain known as Quaderberg (or Kvádrberk) looms over the right bank of the Elbe on the northern edge of town. At its foot is a city park and atits top the Imperiál observation terrace offers a fantastic view of Decín and the Elbe River valley. From here the red trail traces the Ružový hreben ridge and the sandstone canyon of the Elbe to picturesque Hrensko.

The obelisk is about 6 meters tall, it was erected in 1879 on the occasion of the silver wedding of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elizabeth.
