"Liberty Plaza designed by Professor Richard Turner. Dedicated on May 4, 1999 in memory of Ambika Paul with gratitude to Lord Swraj Paul and family. Caparo Group London and Bull Moose Tube Company, USA., and with special apprecitation to The City of Berlin, Congressman Christopher Cox, W. Guy Fox, Norma and Bob Lineberger, Libby and Ed Pankey."

"As I looked out a moment ago from the Reichstag, that embodiment of German unity, I noticed words crudely spray painted upon the wall - perhaps by a young Berliner, 'This wall will fall. Beliefs become reality.' Yes, across Europe, this wall will fall. For it cannot withstand faith. It cannot withstand truth. The wall cannot withstand freedom. Open this gate.
