"Begun in the last quarter of the eighteenth century, the works of the church of S. Peter's Toural were interrupted between 1824 and 1880. The triangular pediment of the facade was completed in 1884, the year he stood in his pontifical cross vertex (the papal tiara that appears on the coat below the cross was embedded in the previous year). The tower was erected in the late nineteenth century and was, for eternity, without your partner. In the four-sided tower, the glasses were open at the clock, which take long to be placed there. In 1915 came to be a public subscription for its acquisition. However, in 1928, still lacking, and that was great lack, since the local clock was significant distance, the square of Oliveira. Still be long until another ten years, for municipal initiative, was installed the clock-tower carillon S. Peter, with its four dials."
