The city of Atchsion made a disastrous decision to close off Commercial Street in the 1960s and build horribly ugly canopies that slice across the fronts of their historic buildings, killing the beauty and vibrance of the street.
This historic photo in the Depot Museum shows what was once a vibrance and exciting street. The modern photo was taken on 20 Aug 2017 by Mama Blaster, and shows the damage bad urban planning can do to a city.
