Der Bahnhof Wangen, ein Durchgansbahnhof, liegt an der Bahnstrecke Hergatz - Kissleg
Der Bahnhof in Wangen wurde 1880 in Betrieb genommen und
liegt am Streckenkilometer 13,3 der Bahnstrecke Kißlegg–Hergatz.

Das Empfangsgebäude ist über die Bahnhofstraße zu erreichen, die den Bahnhof mit der südlich gelegenen Wangener Altstadt verbindet.
Die Betriebsstelle verfügt über zwei Hauptgleise mit je einer Bahnsteigkante, zwei Einfahrsignale, vier Ausfahrsignale und zwei Weichen. Im Bahnhofsbereich liegt ferner ein Bahnübergang, im Osten kreuzt die Ravensburger Straße (Bundesstraße 32) die beiden Gleise.
Die Steuerung und Überwachung der signaltechnischen Anlagen übernimmt das Stellwerk Wf, ein Relaisstellwerk der Bauart Sp Dr L30 von Standard Elektrik Lorenz.
Neben dem Empfangsgebäude existiert noch ein Bau mit der Relaistechnik des Stellwerks, weitere Eisenbahnbauten gibt es nicht mehr.

The station Wangen, a Through station, is located on the railway line Hergatz - Kissleg
The station in Wangen was commissioned in 1880 and
is located at kilometer 13.3 of the railway line Kißlegg-Hergatz.

The reception building can be reached via the Bahnhofstraße, which connects the station with the south-facing Wangen Old Town.
The station has two main tracks, each with one platform edge, two entry signals, four exit signals and two points. In the station area there is also a railroad crossing, in the east the Ravensburger Straße (main road 32) crosses the two tracks.
Control and monitoring of the signaling systems are handled by the Wf interlocking, a relay control unit type Sp Dr L30 from Standard Elektrik Lorenz.
In addition to the reception building there is still a building with the relay technology of the signal box, there are no more railway buildings.
