Two brass plaques at the Beazer Garden near the banks of the River Avon, Bath.
The land for the garden was given in 1973. The maze is a later addition in 1984.

The larger plaque mounted on a plinth reads:
This garden was given by Cyril Beazer to the Citizens of Bath in 1973. The
Pavement Maze was inspired by the 'Labyrinth' theme of the 1984 Bath
Festival; its elliptical shape recalls the Pulteney Weir. The mosaic
centre of the maze features The Gorgon, or Sun-God Sul, cult
figurehead from the Temple of Sulis Minerva. Ariadne's golden thread
meanders through, inviting the eye to follow this inner maze. It is
surrounded by six apses - each designed as a gaze-maze - which
celebrate Bath's Celtic and Roman heritage and cultural prestige.

The smaller plaque is rather weathered and difficult to read.
