Die Bussteige am Bonner Busbahnhof sind seit langer Zeit durch orange-weiße Pilzdächer überdacht, um den Wartenden Schutz vor Regen und Sonne zu bieten. Im Frühjahr 2016 musste eins dieser Dächer am Bussteig A1 ersetzt werden, weil es durch einen Reisebus zerstört wurde.

Man hat sich dabei für eine moderne 4 Meter hohe und sehr schmale Glas-Metall-Konstruktion entschieden - für den Preis von 50.000 Euro. Schutz vor Sonne bietet das Glasdach natürlich nicht, aufgrund der Höhe und der geringen Breite aber auch nicht vor Regen. Somit ist das neue Dach völlig sinnlos und absolut nicht funktional.

Zahlreiche TV-Sendungen und Printmedien (s.u.) haben bereits über die Fehlkonstruktion berichtet und sich über die Verantwortlichen lustig gemacht. Eine Änderung oder Ersetzung des Dachs ist aktuell dennoch nicht geplant.
The bus stops of the main bus station of Bonn have long been covered by orange and white mushroom-shaped roofs to provide protection against the rain and the sun. In the spring of 2016, one of these roofs at bus stop A1 had to be replaced, because it was destroyed by a coach.

They have opted for a modern 4-meter high and very narrow glass-metal construction - for the price of 50,000 euros. Obviously, the glass roof does not offer any protection against sun, because of the height and the small width but also not from rain. Thus, the new roof is completely useless and not functional at all.

Numerous TV shows and print media (see below) have already reported the constructional defect and made fun of the people in charge. Regardless, a change or replacement of the roof is currently not planned.
