The erection of a large grist-mill on the west side of Salt creek, during the first decade in the last century (~1800), was the beginning of the town of Richmond Dale, Ohio. Today, little remains of the Mill, with the exception of a few concrete foundations, and the basement of the mill.
Every fall, the small town comes alive with the Salt Creek Valley Festival.
