The flag of Saas-Grund was introduced in 1939. The church means that Saas-Grund was for centuries until 1893 the parish church of the whole Saas Valley. The four municipalities of the Saas Valley, which have been politically independent since 1392, are represented by the golden squares: Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell are mainly located north of the river Saaser Vispa, Saas-Fee is south of it.

I found the flag at the central village square, where the church, the town hall, the post office and the bus station are located.

Die Flagge von Saas-Grund wurde 1939 eingeführt. Die Kirche bedeutet, dass Saas-Grund jahrhundertelang bis 1893 die Pfarrkirche des ganzen Saastales war. Die vier Gemeinden des Saastales, die schon seit 1392 politisch selbständig sind, werden durch die goldenen Vierecke repräsentiert. Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund und Saas-Almagell befinden sich mehrheitlich nördlich des Flusses Saaser Vispa, Saas-Fee südlich davon.

Ich fand die Flagge am zentralen Dorfplatz, wo sich die Kirche, das Gemeindehaus, die Post und die Busstation befinden.
