This stone arch bridge is located at the northern end of Rudyard Lake.
It is an accommodation bridge that connects Reacliffe Road across fields to the A532.

The bridge now crosses a public walking/ cycling track that was once the main railway line north from Leek to Macclesfield.
The railway ran along the side of Rudyard Lake and was closed in 1960. A photograph of a Fowler 4P steam locomotive passing Rudyard Lake with a three-coach passenger service from Macclesfield in 1953, can be seen at the following link. (visit link)

Rudyard Lake is a two and a half mile long lake that was created more than two centuries ago.
It is popular location offering walking, boating, sailing and fishing, a converted boat house as a visitor centre and a miniature steam railway. There is a five-mile walking route available around the lake. (visit link)
