The family of a victim of an accident established the first Ghostbike in the district of Bonn.

On 7th of December, 2013 the cyclist Michael Hübner was run over by a car and died at the accident place. In arrangement with the city of Bonn the family of the victim established the first Ghostbike in the district of Bonn on the 26. of September, 2014.
Quotation from the local press: ""In Bonn ist es das erste Geisterrad. Mein Vater hat die Aktion mit Polizei und Stadt abgesprochen und die Erlaubnis erhalten, das Mahnmal an einem Baum am Straßenrand zu befestigen", sagte Julia Hübner." ("In Bonn it is the first Ghost Bike. My father has arranged the action with police and town and has received the permission to fasten the memorial to a tree at the street edge", said Julia Hübner.")
The ghost bike is decorated with flowers and candles. It carries a sign which says "Michael, 7. Dezember 2013, 47 Jahre"
