From the (visit link) website:-
Originally built as the great gatehouse to Llanthony Priory. Characteristic of the later medieval period. Extended and remodelled as a barn during two periods, the first during the C17/C18, the other in the C19. Red sandstone construction with stone tiled roof. Features two C14 cusped windows, and one C13 window in Early English style. Interior has much earlier medieval look than exterior, suggesting C12, with half columns and the springing of the vault surviving.
