In front of the administrative building of a big landowner stands an old boundary stone of the dukedom of Arenberg.
The pre-Napoleonic duchy had an area of 413 km² between the Eifel and the Rhine. After the French occupation of the west bank of the Rhine around 1798 the dukes of Arenberg lost the territories.

The stone is located behind a low hedge in front of the entrance of the "Fürstlich von Arenberg´sche Verwaltung" in Mayschoß for decorative reasons. It carries the coat of arms of the dukes of Arenberg and the letters "HVA".
Visit Instructions:
1. A closeup photo of the waymark with your GPS, or (a part of) you in it, is required.
2. An area photo including the waymark in the view is highly appreciated.
